I wanted to get back to you to let you know what a wonderful time my family and I had on our cruise. You both played a big part in answering many of the questions that we had prior to our departure. The Explorer of the Seas is a fantastic cruise ship especially for us first time cruisers. We enjoyed every minute of it and my 19 year old got to eat as much as he wanted to whenever he wanted to. IT WAS OUR FIRST CRUISE AND WE WERE NERVOUS AND EXCITED. WE WAITED ONLY 30 MIN TO BOARD BECAUSE OF THE ADVISE OF OUR CRUISE CONSULTANT TO GO AT 10:30AM, THANKS! WE ARRIVED IN OUR STATEROOM TO FIND THE DELUXE ROMANCE PACKAGE COMPLETE WITH CHAMPAGNE AND CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES, THANKS AGAIN. THE FIRST DAY WE VENTURED INTO THE SPA FOR OUR FREE MASSAGES AND AT THE END THEY GAVE US TWO LARGE BAGS OF MOSITURIZERS AND MILK BATH, THANKS. THE MADERA SPA MANAGER MARIA TOSCANO STATED THAT IT WAS BILLED TO A HOUSE ACCOUNT AND NOT TO WORRY. SO WE HAPPILY WENT TO AN ART AUCTION AT WHICH WE RECEIVED A COUPON FOR 300 DOLLARS OF PRODUCT AND A FREE TREATMENT. WE WENT TO THE SPA AND FOUND OUT THAT WE HAD BEEN BILLED CLOSE TO 1000 DOLLARS FOR THE BAGS OF PRODUCT. HORRIFIED WE CALLED OUR CRUISE SPECIALIST WHO IN ONE PHONE CALL TOLD US WHO TO SPEAK TO AND HOW TO RIGHT THE WRONG. WE NOTIFIED IRMA, THE FRONT DESK MANAGER, WHO TOOK IMMEDIATE ACTION BUT THE SPA IS A VENDOR NOT IMMEDIATELY UNDER THE AUSPICES OF NCL. WE MET BOB , THE FOOD DIRECTOR, WHO GAVE US A FREE DINNER AT LEBISTRO THE FRENCH RESTAURANT AND A BOTTLE OF INNISKILLIN ICE WINE (OUR FAVORITE WINE) AND WHEN WE RETURNED TO OUR STATEROOM WE HAD CANAPES FROM THE CAPTAIN AND A VISIT AT DINNER FROM HUGO THE HOTEL DIRECTOR. THE NEXT DAY WE EASILY RETURNED ALL THE UNWANTED SPA PRODUCTS AND INSTEAD THE ART DIRECTOR LET US PICK A PICTURE THAT WE HAD WANTED. THEN EACH NIGHT AS WE RETURNED TO OUR ROOM OUR STEWARD LEFT A WONDERFUL TOWEL ANIMAL ON THE BED TO OUR DELIGHT. THE GRACIOUSNESS OF THE NCL CREW WAS AMAZING AND WE HAD A LOVELY TIME. HOWEVER, WHEN I WAS IN TEARS AND WANTED TO GO HOME ON THE SECOND DAY IT WAS THE SECURITY AND KINDNESS OF HAVING MY CRUISE SPECIALIST TO CALL AND FIX THE WRONGS THAT TRUELY SAVED OUR VACATION!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER TRAVEL ALONE AGAIN AND NEXT YEAR WHEN I TAKE MY SECOND CRUISE I WILL SAIL AWAY KNOWING MY CRUISE SPECIALIST HAS MY BACK. THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU.
